Itinerary
Meet at Tobu Nikko Station • Start 11:30, end 11:40 • Please be at the meet-up by 11:40. From here, take the route bus to the bus stop near Kanmangafuchi Abyss. *Customers who are late for the departure time will have their reservations canceled. Please give yourself plenty of time. Joining the tour partway through after the tour has departed is not allowed. Transfer • From Tobu Nikko Station, head to Kanmangafuchi Abyss. Take the route bus to a bus stop near Kanmangafuchi Abyss and walk from there. • Transportation: Bus *Due to circumstances such as road congestion, etc., transfer may be on foot. Kanmangafuchi Abyss • Duration: 20 minutes • Kanmangafuchi Abyss is a small gorge formed by an eruption of Mt. Nantai. There is a row of approximately 70 stone statues of Jizo (a Bodhisattva who is the protector of children) along the river, and legend says they mysteriously change in number each time they are counted. A botanical garden lies on the opposite side of the Jizo statues, where visitors can enjoy the scenery of the season. *Please check [Important Notes/Supplements: What to Wear/Bring] in the Remarks field. *In the winter season (around December to mid-March) and during inclement weather, etc. when it may be difficult to ensure road safety to Kanmangafuchi Abyss, the tour will be guided to Futarasan Shrine, Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple, Tamozawa Imperial Villa, Toshogu Museum, Kanaya Hotel History House, or Nikko Botanical Gardens instead. Transfer • From Kanmangafuchi Abyss, head to the lunch venue. • Transportation: On Foot *In general, transfer will be on foot, but a direct Nikko Green Slow Mobility bus (low-emission bus) may also be used if available. (approx. 20 min on foot or 5 min by bus) Lunch/Fujiya Kanko Center (if Standard Lunch or With Vegetarian Lunch option is booked): • Duration: 50 minutes • Meal: Lunch • Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch. *Please check “Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Meals” in the Remarks field. Meal Break (if No Lunch option is booked): • Duration: 50 minutes • Meals are not included. Customers are to have lunch on their own. Cafes and restaurants near the rest area can be very crowded. Preparing this prior to departure is recommended. Transfer • From the lunch venue, head to Nikko Toshogu Shrine. • Transportation: On Foot Nikko Toshogu Shrine • Duration: 80 minutes • A registered UNESCO World Heritage Site, this sacred place with over 400 years of history is where Ieyasu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, is enshrined. Enjoy seeing the traditional beauty of the main hall, as well as the sleeping cat and 3 monkey carvings. Tour Ends • Start 15:40 • The tour ends at Nikko Toshogu Shrine. • Feel free to continue enjoying sightseeing. *If there are customers joining the tour round-trip from Shinjuku, the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter will head to Tobu Nikko Station. Operation Conditions
- Bookings are accepted until 12:00 noon on the day prior to the tour. Please make a reservation on the system until the reservation deadline.
- If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, or due to other operational management circumstances, the tour on that date may be canceled.
- This plan goes round trip from Tobu Nikko Station, and does not include transportation from other areas.

- In front of the Tourist Information Center inside Tobu Nikko Station building
- Access: Immediately accessible from Tobu Nikko Station on the Tobu Nikko Line. 5 min on foot from JR Nikko Station. *If the tour is shared with customers joining round-trip from Shinjuku, the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter may be taking the train from Tokyo to the meeting location. In this case, customers may have to wait until around 11:35. *Customers who are late for the departure time (11:40) due to their own circumstances will have their reservations canceled.

Important Notes/Supplements: What to Wear/Bring
- As there are slopes and stairs in areas around Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kanmangafuchi Abyss, wearing shoes with good traction and clothing easy to walk in as well as using a backpack are recommended. (A distance of about 5 km will be covered.)
- As there are land leeches from April to November, please be sure to keep your legs covered. We recommend wearing thick socks that cover the ankles and bringing bug spray.
- Shoes must be removed in some areas in Toshogu Shrine. Please participate wearing shoes that are easy to put on and take off, and are comfortable to walk in.

2. A noteworthy spot off the beaten path in Nikko, Kanmangafuchi Abyss has been gaining a rise in popularity among international visitors. It features approximately 70 statues of Jizo, a bodhisattva who cares for travelers and protects children, lined up along the gorge, and exudes a solemn and quiet atmosphere different from the temple and shrine areas.
