Overview

The JR Kansai-San'in Area Pass is a 7-day ticket that allows unlimited travel on applicable trains in the Kansai and San'in regions. Within the valid period, passengers can use both reserved and non-reserved seats on applicable trains without any restrictions. Eligible trains include the Sanyo Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka⇔Okayama), Limited Express trains, and Local trains (including Rapid and Special Rapid trains). Please note that this pass does not cover travel on the Tokaido Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka⇔Tokyo), and West Japan JR high-speed buses.

How to use

Confirmation email will be sent to the appointed email address once the booking is made.
Please go to green ticket-vending machines and pick up the physical ticket by scanning the QR code of the e-ticket and a non-Japanese passport. (Operation menus of the machine can be displayed in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or Korean.)
Use the physical ticket to pass through the automated ticket gate.

The JR Kansai-San'in Area Pass is a 7-day ticket that allows unlimited travel on applicable trains in the Kansai and San'in regions. How it works

[Eligibility]

A rail pass user must be holding a passport issued by a foreign government.

2.A rail pass user must be entering in Japan as a "Temporary Visitor". "Temporary Visitor" is a status of residence defined under Japanese immigration law.

[How to use]

Confirmation email will be sent to the appointed email address once the booking is made.
Please go to green ticket-vending machines and pick up physical ticket by scanning QR code of e-ticket and non-Japanese passport. (Operation menus of machine can be displayed in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or Korean.)

※If the machine breaks down or the passport have no IC chip, please proceed to JR-WEST Ticket Office to exchange physical ticket.

Then, the physical pass is successfully redeemed.
Exchanging reserved seat tickets: before getting on the train, please go to green ticket-vending machines and pick up physical reserved seat tickets by the area pass.

[Notice of redemption of reserved seating for JR-West Rail Pass]

Different passes can be redeemed for different number of times of reserved seating ticket. Please check the product page for details.
Please check each product page for achievable train for reserved seating.
The reserved seating for pass must be redeemed separately (make reservation at green machine or window).
The pass can be used to take non-reserved seating directly when the number of times of reserved seating is ran out or if there is no prior redemption of reserved seating ticket.
Unlimited rides of reserved seating ticket can be redeemed, it requires manual reservation at green window when using for the seventh times and above, and machine is not able to redeem directly.
