Important Information
・The costumes of oiran are heavy and tight, and can be very taxing on the body, so pregnant women are not permitted to wear them. ・We have ready-made M-L size kimonos available. ・Please make any alterations after the shoot by yourself. ・Please wear normal clothes and make-up or no make-up. *Please wear a camisole (female guests), a cardigan or hoodie that can be opened in front, etc. *Kimono underwear (lintel, etc.) will be provided. ・No photography is allowed in the studio with your own camera or with the camera of someone accompanying you. Self-portraits and off-shot photography with a smartphone are permitted. ・Photography accessories include fans, Japanese umbrellas, smoking pipes, swords, fox masks and windmills. [Props] ・The maximum number of props that can be brought in is two per person. ・If you are considering bringing in props for a shoot, please check the following information and be sure to contact us before booking. ・We cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or staining of props you bring with you.

About accessories. ・Please refrain from having the wedding finished in a way that is completely different from the purpose of the plan. ・Please refrain from using items that "require skills that are not originally necessary or require a significantly higher level of skill", "require additional processes that were not originally planned" or "may significantly increase the preparation time or shooting time" compared to normal preparation. (e.g. increased difficulty in dressing, frequent adjustments required during the shoot, etc.). ・Rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, socks, tights, nail tips, false eyelashes and coloured contact lenses are not included. ・Innerwear and clasps that cannot be seen from the outside are not included in the number of items brought. ・Each part counts as one item. ・Gloves, socks, shoes, false ears, etc., which are generally considered essential to be part of a set, are counted as one item. ・Items with many parts that take time to use when photographed cannot be used.

Regarding items related to photography. ・Please refrain from using objects that are too large for the photographic booth. ・Decorative items (decorations on walls or ceilings) are not permitted on booths. ・Please refrain from taking expensive valuables, dangerous items and live or living animals. ・Please refrain from using items that could potentially stain the studio or costumes (e.g. liquids or items with paint that could stick to the surroundings). ・Please refrain from taking photographs that are likely to significantly increase the time taken to film. (e.g. sowing petals, difficult shutter timing of movements) ・Generally speaking, one item is regarded as warmly essential to be in a set.

"Irodori Photo Asakusa" is a makeover photo studio where you can have your photo taken in gorgeous costumes. Enjoy a makeover experience in Asakusa, one of Japan's leading tourist attractions, in an extraordinary space that incorporates 'Japanese' culture.

[Flow on the day of the experience day] <step 1=""> Schedule check Please check the schedule for the day and arrive on time for your appointment.
<step 2=""> Reception and counselling After arriving at the studio, confirm your booking information at the reception desk. We will ask you about the details of your experience and your wishes. Please let us know your requirements regarding costumes, hairstyles and make-up.
<step 3=""> Choose your costume Choose your costume. Please let us know your wishes regarding kimono, obi, hair ornaments, props, etc.
<step 4=""> Hair and make-up Make-up will be done according to the colour of the kimono, including eye shadow and lipstick colour. You can choose your own hairstyle, either with the tate-hyogo hairstyle, which is unique to oiran (courtesans), or by setting your own hair and attaching a floral ornament. Short hair can also be made more glamorous with flower ornaments and hairpins.
<step 5=""> Dressing The costume is fitted and the transformation is complete.
<step 6=""> Photograph Once you have changed into your costume, you can start taking photos in the studio. The staff and photographer will give you advice on how to take beautiful photos.
