Description

Do you know the "Kanji of the Year" announced at Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto every December? It is a performance in which one character, “Kanji of the Year”, which represents the social conditions of the year, is written with a large brush. ``Writing large enough to attract attention'' is called ``taisho.'' You can experience this Osho performance at the much-talked-about Japanese culture experience cafe in Asakusa. There is no limit to the characters you can write. Write down your free ideas with a brush. Creative calligrapher Koji Takano will carefully guide you, so even beginners can feel at ease. Of course, you can take your completed work home with you.
