Otter Fujikochi Base Changing Room (Approximately 34 km south of the Mie-machi National Highway 502 intersection, travel time approximately 1 hour.) Otter's Fujikochi Base Changing Room is located very close to the Fujikochi Valley. Cell phone reception is out of range. Please arrive with plenty of time to spare. *It takes about 30 minutes by car from Ume Roadside Station to Fujikawachi Valley. Please use the restroom at the roadside station and head to Fujikawachi Valley. https://goo.gl/maps/CB87QejHEJW5QMk58 The road from National Route 326 to Fujikawachi Valley is narrow, so if you are concerned about driving, please come by a smaller car. 1) Take National Route 326 from the roadside station Ume, head south towards Nobeoka City and cross the Utagenka Ohashi Bridge. 2) From the roadside station Ume, pass the first tunnel and turn left, heading towards the Fujikawachi Valley.3 ) Turn left at the T-junction (there is an OTTER information board from here), then drive safely to Fujikawachi Base while looking at the Otter information board.
