Omijima Island, with its many oddly-shaped rocks hewn over millennia by the ocean waves, is also called the "The Alps on the Sea" for its resemblance to mountains towering above the sea. Enjoy the unique scenery of the region by circling Omijima Island on a sightseeing boat, and feel the wind and waves on your skin. Two styles of boats are available: whale and dolphin. On the whale-style boat, you can enjoy the scenery on the deck during your ride. On the smaller and more nimble dolphin-style boat, you can't go out on deck, but you can enjoy a thrilling cruising experience while looking at the rocks up close. Note that you will be randomly assigned to a boat on the day of your experience. Book e-tickets, or a combo with Yamaguchi Prefecture's specialty fugu (blowfish) sashimi to have this regional delicacy delivered to your home after your trip!
