The Sagano Romantic Train is actually a collection of several wagon-style trains with a diesel engine that crosses a 7.3 km long ravine on the mountains of Arashiyama in Kyoto. The train departs from Saga Torokko station and arrives at Kameoka Torokko Station and takes 25 minutes. The train chugs along at an average speed of 25 km/h allowing visitors to take in the beautiful landscape, which changes according to the season offering a unique sight depending on the time of the year you visit.
