Then wind down with a hearty, wholesome al fresco breakfast framed by captivating ocean views. Tanesashi Natural Lawn is among the most photogenic places in the Sanriku Fukko National Park. As well as open-air yoga sessions, it is a picturesque setting for picnics, horse riding, and various community events during the summertime. The lightly undulating land is a lush, emerald color which leads down to the rocky coastline, affording beautiful ocean views from any vantage point on the grass. The contrasting hues of the lush greenery, golden sand, and blue ocean make it one of the most beautiful spots in the region. It makes for a pleasant change of scenery compared to the usual indoor yoga studio. The soft grass and inspiring views set the perfect scene to strike a pose in unison with your fellow yogis. All participants have ample space, and it’s an ideal, easy-going activity to start the day whatever your fitness level. The stretching, breathing, and gentle flow yoga poses can easily be performed by beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, led by a skilled and supportive instructor. The relaxing 60-minute yoga session includes the use of a personal yoga mat. Following the session, a tasty breakfast spread is provided made from local produce. It consists of a wholesome blend of Japanese and western options such as soup, salad, seafood croque-monsieur, green eggs, a seaweed smoothie, apple pie, and assorted fruits. There are also free refills of juice and coffee throughout breakfast time.
