Yamagata | Gassan Shizu Onsen Snow Inn Lights [Weekends & Holidays Only!] Admission E-Ticket
Overview
**~Recreating the Old Townscape of Shizu, Once Visited by Dewa Sanzan Pilgrims, in Snow~**
The Gassan Shizu area has served as a post town for pilgrims of the Dewa Sanzan for over 400 years.
With winter snowfall reaching up to 6 meters, it has recently gained attention as a “hidden Japan’s snowiest area.”
As a unique project exclusive to Shizu Onsen, the historic streets of traditional inns are recreated entirely in snow.
Step inside the snow inns and kamakura igloos to relax in a softly illuminated space. Enjoy the ever-popular Ice Bar and food stalls as well.
Fireworks are launched from 6:00 PM on weekends and public holidays.
※Please note that fireworks may be canceled due to severe weather conditions.
