Tokyo: Musical “Something Rotten” Performance Tickets
Overview
This time, the musical “Something Rotten!” has been revived seven years after its 2018 Japanese premiere.
The title, which literally translates to “Something is rotten!”, evokes a line from Hamlet.
This musical is a comedy filled with homages to numerous classic plays and musicals, including Shakespeare's works, “A Chorus Line,” “Annie,” and “Les Misérables.”
Conceived in the 1990s by the Kirkpatrick brothers, Carey and Wayne, it opened on Broadway in 2015. After a successful trial run in Seattle, a Broadway production was immediately secured.
