The 4th “Suito Kurawanka” Fireworks Festival
Overview
On Sunday, September 21, the Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival will be held in Hirakata City and Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture!
A total of 5,065 fireworks are scheduled to be launched. This is a very unique fireworks festival in which the number of fireworks launched reflects the number of children born in the previous year in the municipalities near the venue.
The “Water City Kurawanka Fireworks Festival” is imbued with the wish to preserve the beautiful scenery of the fireworks festival for the next 100 years and pass it on to future generations. In addition to the number of children born, fireworks will also be launched as a memorial for those who have passed away.

How it works
- The fireworks display will be canceled in the following cases.
・When a warning related to heavy rain, strong winds, or flooding is issued for Hirakata City or Takatsuki City.
・In the event of an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 3 or higher occurring in Hirakata City or Takatsuki City, causing significant damage to infrastructure.
・When applicable to the Kinki Regional Development Bureau's river use suspension criteria.
*Even if the weather is fine on the day of the event, it may be canceled if flooding is expected in the Yodogawa River or its tributaries.
*In the event of cancellation, there are no plans to reschedule the event.
[Note]
- The parking lot at the venue will be closed all day on the day of the event. Please use public transportation to get there.
- The nearest station is Keihan Hirakata-shi Station.
- There are a limited number of portable toilets available inside the venue.
- The route from the nearest station to the venue will be very crowded. Please arrive early to ensure smooth entry.
- Children under the age of 6 do not need a ticket if they can sit on an adult's lap. Children aged 6 and over need a ticket in all cases.
