Receiving Your Tickets:

Important: Before purchasing tickets, please confirm with your hotel or accommodation that they can receive registered mail (Kan'i Kakitome) on your behalf.
These are paper tickets, not electronic, and will be delivered to your hotel via registered mail.
Please note: We cannot deliver to unmanned accommodations (such as some private rentals) or schools where registered mail cannot be accepted.
If your delivery address cannot receive registered mail, please do not purchase tickets.

Changes or Cancellations:

The event may be changed or canceled due to natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances.

Procession:

The Yamahoko Junko procession will proceed regardless of weather conditions. Refunds will only be issued if the procession is officially canceled. In such an event, refunds will be processed through the "Ticket PIA" system.
Please Note: Ticketing and delivery fees are non-refundable.

Health & Safety:

Extreme heat is expected. Please take precautions to protect your health, such as staying hydrated and wearing a hat (please note that parasols are not permitted as they obstruct the view).
We recommend bringing a raincoat in case of rain (umbrellas are not permitted as they obstruct the view).
Please be aware that toilet facilities are limited.

Other Regulations:

The use of tripods is prohibited in the viewing area.
Please be considerate of other spectators when taking photos or videos.
Smoking is not allowed.
Any disruptive behavior towards other customers or failure to follow the instructions of event staff may result in removal from the event without a refund.
We are not responsible for any damage caused by factors outside of our control.
Bringing and consuming alcohol is prohibited.
Please avoid leaning on barriers or extending your body or devices beyond the designated fence.
Please maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere during the event. Avoid excessive exposure or overly decorative clothing.

The Yamaboko float procession will take place from approximately 10:20 to 11:20 in the morning.

With your reserved seat, you can enjoy the Yamaboko procession in comfort and safety during this time.

Purchase Notice

Delivery: Tickets will be sent to your hotel 2–5 days before the event.
We cannot ship tickets earlier than this timeframe. Therefore, please before booking tickets please confirm the address of the hotel where you'll stay 3–5 days before the Gion Festival (around July 12–14).

Receiving Paper Tickets:

The paper tickets will be sent to this address by registered mail.
Once the tickets are ready to ship, we will send the tracking number to the email address you provided. Please check your email for updates.
We are not responsible for any failure to deliver tickets if the provided shipping information is incomplete or if the accommodation cannot receive the mail for you.
Once the tickets have been shipped, we cannot change the delivery address.
We are not responsible for any damage or loss after delivery is confirmed at the accommodation, so please take precautions.
In some cases, tickets may be collected at a designated location in Kyoto on the day of the event. We will notify you by email in advance if this is the case.

Kyoto Gion Matsuri Reserved Seat Tickets + Yukata Rental from a Gion Kimono Store

This plan includes a Gion Matsuri Reserved Seat Ticket (Paid Seating) and a complete yukata rental set with dressing service (hairstyling is not included).
The kimono rental store is located near Gion. You will need to visit the store at the time assigned to you from among the following: 07:45, 08:00, 08:15, 08:30, or 08:45.
After dressing, please proceed to the festival venue.
Please note that your kimono rental store visit time will be assigned at our discretion. Detailed information, including your visit time and shop details, will be sent to the email address you provided during booking.

How it works

How to Use: Your physical tickets will be mailed to your hotel. Present your paper ticket to the attendant at the entrance.

Seat Assignment: Your seat number is printed on your ticket. Please show your ticket at the reception near your seat, and sit in your assigned chair.
