The three-storied pagoda, a Muromachi period building moved from Tōmyō-ji Temple in Kyoto, stands as a landmark, and visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers such as Japanese apricots, cherry blossoms, Japanese honeysuckles, and lotus. The view of the three-story pagoda over the pond that opens up as soon as you step into the garden from the main gate is truly breathtaking. ■Naien (Inner garden) The Hara family used this area as their private residence. The garden is centered around the Rinshunkaku, a row of three buildings built in the early Edo period in the shape of geese, and is a delicately designed garden composed of old buildings. Rinshunkaku, a 350-year-old villa of the Kishu Tokugawa family, is the centerpiece of the inner garden landscape. ■Sankein Memorial Hall The museum's exhibition rooms display materials and artifacts related to Sankeien and Hara Sankei.
