Description
Lake Biwa: Japan's largest freshwater lake, located on the border between Honshu and the Kansai region, and one of the oldest in the world. Shirahige Shrine: One of the oldest shrines in the area, with a floating torii gate on the shore of Lake Biwa. Ukimido: Built on an artificial island in Lake Biwa, also known as the "Water Palace."
