Booking
- Pleae note that ticket supply is limited, and may sell out at any time (we recommend being flexible with your visit dates).
- Seats cannot be selected in advance: they will be designated on the day of the tour.
- If you would like to be seated together as a group, please make a request when booking.
- Although staff will try to provide customers with their requested seating arrangements, please note that some requests may not be accommodated.
- Children up to 3 years old may join free of charge, but will not be given seats (must sit on the lap of a parent or guardian).
- If the seats are required for any child, please book for each one.
- Children aged 4+ will be charged the same rate as adults.
- For those participating in a wheelchair, please indicate this when booking.
Joining the Tour
- Please note the meeting place is Ryogoku View Hotel, not Ryogoku Kokugikan; after exiting JR Ryogoku Station from the West Exit ticket gate, cross the pedestrian crossing immediately on the left and it will be just ahead.
- The voucher is valid only on the specified date.
- Please note that participants may not join partway through the tour, but must join at the meeting location specified in advance.
- Parental permission in writing is needed for all participants aged 0–17. Any participant aged 0–14 or not yet enrolled in middle school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Stroller storage is available on the 1st and 2nd floors, but please note that we take no responsibility incase of theft, etc. in the arena (strollers cannot be brought inside the arena seating area).
- Suitcases and other large pieces of luggage cannot be brought into the seating area, and cannot be stored at the meeting place Ryogoku View Hotel.
- As Ryogoku Kokugikan's wheelchair storage area is on the 1st floor, please go to the 2nd floor on your own or with the help of an accompanying group member. Please note there are stairs and escalators to reach the seats, and your guide cannot provide mobility assistance.
Spectator Etiquette
- Please note that you must wait to be seated if one of the following events is underway when you arrive: a sumo match, a speech by the Sumo Association (on the first and the last tournament day), the ring entering procession of the Makuuchi division wrestlers (dohyoiri), the ring entering procession of the Yokozuna, or the ritual stomping ceremony (on the last tournament day). In such a case, please wait until the event is over before proceeding to spectator seating.
- Note that your guide will not be able to provide explanations or other guidance during the above events.
- Bringing food and drinks including alcohol inside is prohibited; please purchase food and refreshments from the vendors inside the arena.
