Description

Set in Los Angeles, it is a love story about an astute businessman (Richard Gere) and an innocent prostitute (Julia Roberts). The musical version, which premiered in 2018 and played on New York Broadway and London's West End, was written and co-written by singer-songwriter Bryan Adams with Jim Vallance, with whom he has written his own songs for years. The musical features the Adams sound, which has given birth to such big hits as "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? The musical premiere version was directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, who is also renowned for directing and choreographing the musical "Kinky Boots. -The Story- The story takes place in Los Angeles in the 1990s. Edward, a businessman on a business trip from New York, happens to meet Vivienne, a prostitute, on a street corner in Hollywood and spends a night with her. Edward, a divorced businessman who has just broken up with his girlfriend, is a man whose main motive is money. He needs a woman to accompany him to a business dinner before a big acquisition, so he signs a one-week contract with Vivienne. However, although his self-esteem is shattered by being bought off by men, Edward is gradually attracted to Vivienne, who shows an innocent and carefree charm. Vivienne, too, is drawn to Edward, who is a gentleman and teaches her about a world she doesn't know. What will become of their romance?
