A special performance by Kanazawa Geisha, "Kanazawa Geisha Dance - Summer Evening" will be held at the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art (right next to Kenrokuen Garden). Kanazawa has three teahouse districts, Higashi Chaya District, Nishi Chaya District, and Kazuemachi Chaya District, where the traditional streetscapes are still carefully preserved, and each has its own charm and is famous as a tourist destination. Each teahouse district is home to "Kanazawa Geisha" who have inherited the teahouse culture from the feudal period, and since they usually do not accept first-time visitors, it is difficult to have a chance to interact with the Geisha. However, this event is a special performance where you can experience Japanese dance, Japanese musical instruments (shamisen and flute), and ozashiki taiko drums by Kanazawa Geisha, as well as ozashiki games that can only be experienced at a teahouse.
