Description
Nagai Botanical Garden, in Osaka's Higashi Sumiyoshi Ward, is a 240,000-square-meter botanical garden with around 1,200 species of plants, flowers and trees that change with the seasons. At night, the garden becomes an interactive and ever-changing digital art exhibit. The artworks are transformed by the wind, rain, and the behavior of the people in the garden, making the visitors and environment a part of the art. Visitors are invited to view such fantastic works as "Sculptures of Dissipating Birds in the Wind," a work that continuously depicts in real time the birds actually flying in the vicinity of the work, and the energy that the wind continuously gives to the surrounding environment.
