Description
Founded in 1931, the aquarium was closed for a time during World War II but has continued to serve as a social education and tourism facility for a long time. In 1984, it was relocated and rebuilt to coincide with the Kuroshio Expo and has remained active to this day.
The layout of the museum is rich in nature, and visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Katsurahama Beach and Tosa Bay. Although the facilities are small, the aquarium has a spacious atmosphere with a large pine tree inside. Most of the facilities are outdoors, and visitors can take a break while enjoying the view from inside the aquarium at the "blue sky tables."
The aquarium also holds events, where visitors can feed sea lions, penguins, sea turtles, capybaras, and other animals!
(An additional fee will be charged for feeding)
