Description

"Hatoyama Hall" is a memorial hall open to the public in the residence of Ichiro Hatoyama, who served as Prime Minister of Japan. It is a Western-style house with an English-style exterior and an *Adam-style reception room. The beautiful scenery of the historic Western-style house and the rose garden is often used for filming dramas and commercials.

Built in 1924, the Western-style house has been repaired many times, but has remained in its original form until the present day. The house covers an area of approximately 2,000 tsubo (approximately 1,000 square meters), and the garden is home to approximately 150 roses in 80 varieties. The garden is especially picturesque in spring and autumn, so be sure to visit!

*Adam Style - A light, elegant, classicist style from late 18th century England. It is an unification of the English tradition with classical taste by adopting ancient Roman decorations.
