Description

Northern Alps International Art Festival 2024 will be held from Friday, September 13th, 2024 to Monday, November 4th, 2024. View art on SUP upon request. If you wish to view it, you will need to purchase a viewing passport or individual viewing ticket. When you watch Strawberry Moon, you'll think, ``You can marry the person you love!'' ``You'll be happy!'' ❓? There is a legend. The full moon around the summer solstice has a reddish color compared to full moons during other seasons, and American Indians called it the "Strawberry Moon" when translated into English. The original season for strawberries is early summer. The Strawberry Moon of 2024 will be on June 22nd. Board a voyageur canoe and enjoy a walk on the lake under the starry sky (at night) while eating delicious strawberry sweets from Shinano Omachi (we may not be able to serve sweets made with strawberry ingredients) on Lake Aoki. Our astronomical guide will explain why the full moon around the summer solstice appears reddish and shiny. This event will be held even if it is cloudy and you cannot see the stars. We provide easy-to-understand explanations so that you can remember the explanations in the astronomy guide when you see the stars clearly at night at home or while traveling.
