~ A garden museum close to the sky that soothes the soul ~ "Garden Museum Hiei," a place to overlook Lake Biwa and Kyoto. Located on top of a mountain at an altitude of 840 meters, this garden reproduces the natural landscape that Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, and Van Gogh dreamed of. There are beautiful works of Impressionist painters surrounded by blooming flowers. The colors, drawn as if singing nature, mysteriously soothe our hearts. Spend a relaxing and comfortable time in this garden close to the sky. ■Garden Museum Hiei is located on the top of Mt. Hiei. At the summit of Hiei, where the temperature is 4-5°C lower than in the downtown city, flowers from spring to summer generally bloom about a month later. In addition, the roses, which usually bloom in early summer, around mid-June, continue to bloom from the cool climate of Mt. Hiei until autumn, around late October.
