The Hozu River is a marvel of nature, originating from central Kyoto Prefecture's Tamba Highlands, and flowing through the picturesque mountains of Kyoto to Kameoka. From there, it navigates a breathtaking 16 km mountain canyon before converging into the Yodo River via the Kamo River. Accompanied by skilled local boatmen, you'll glide through the rugged landscape, marveling at the huge rock formations and stunning views. Depending on the weather and water levels, our boats are expertly maneuvered by three to five boatmen, ensuring your safety and comfort at all times.
