Description

The Kudoyama Sanada Museum exists to pass down the stories of three generations of the Sanada family Masayuki, Yukimura, and Daisuke (parent, child, and grandchild) to future generations.

Masayuki was a military commander who used his ingenuity to survive the Warring States period, based in Shinano Province's Ueda Castle (now Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture). He defeated Ieyasu Tokugawa's large army twice, and after the Battle of Sekigahara, he spent his time at Kudoyama, watching the movements of the world and waiting earnestly for the opportunity to once again test his strength.

Yukimura was taught military strategy by his father Masayuki, and when he was taken hostage by the Uesugi and Toyotomi families, he learned a lot from Kanetsugu Naoe and Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who served as chief retainers of Kagekatsu Uesugi. During the summer Siege of Osaka, he slashed into Ieyasu Tokugawa's main camp and cornered him to the point where he was lauded as "the best soldier in Japan" by the Tokugawa side.

Daisuke was born in Kudoyama, fought alongside his father in the Siege of Osaka, and shared his fate with his lord Toyotomi Hideyori.

Please experience the trajectory of three generations of Sanadawho lived at the end of the Sengoku period!
