Sakai Risho no Mori opened on March 20, 2015 as a cultural tourism facility to widely disseminate the unique history and culture of Sakai under the theme of Sen no Rikyu and Yosano Akiko, two figures associated with Sakai. This is an admission ticket for Sen no Rikyu Chanoyu (Tea Ceremony) Museum and Yosano Akiko Museum at Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko. You can experience a part of the life of Sen no Rikyu, who is the historical figure with the deepest influence on “chanoyu”, the Japanese “Way of Tea”, and Yosano Akiko, one of the most noted and post-classical woman poets of Japan.
