Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts and Culture Admission E-Tickets
Overview
The Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts and Culture delves into the history and appeal of the Hyakunin Isshu, a classical anthology of 100 poems that is said to have originated in Kyoto's Saga Arashiyama area. Additionally, the museum is devoted to Japanese painting as well.
Here, visitors can enjoy an array of seasonal exhibitions and stunning nature. With its weeping cherry blossoms in spring, azaleas in early summer, red and orange leaves in autumn, and snow in winter, the stone garden highlights the beauty of the changing seasons.
From the second floor, you can feel as if you're looking at a real-life Japanese painting as you gaze at Mt. Ogura — associated with the Hyakunin Isshu — as well as Arashiyama and the Oigawa River in the background.
