Description
Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill, at the edge of Sapporo, offers panoramic views of Sapporo Dome and the city, in contrast with the sweeping Ishikari Plains. Originally a sheep farm for the Hokkaido National Agriculture Research facility, the hill now draws crowds of visitors for vistas, feasting, and seasonal experiences on offer throughout the year. Enjoy the changing views of the city in each season. Snap a selfie with the famous statue of Dr. William S. Clark. Visit during sunset to see the city aglow from above. Or for the best photos, feel free to consult with the staff who will happily guide you regarding the very best photo spots on the hill. At the Hitsujigaoka Rest House, you can enjoy a feast of “Ghengis Khan” grilled lamb, a representative Hokkaido cuisine, and a range of seasonal delicacies from fruits to seafood. Don’t miss the iconic sights and tastes of Sapporo you can only experience here. Purchase e-tickets in advance from Rakuten Travel Experiences to earn points as well!
