Description
The Museum of Aeronautical Sciences opened in 1989 in Chiba, and is the first museum specializing in aviation science in Japan. The five-floor museum is packed with interesting exhibits and experiences, including a Sound Experience Room, a diorama of the Narita Airport, replicas of historic planes, flight simulators, hands-on activities, and more. Learn about the history of various aircraft models, and see exhibits ranging from miniature model aircraft to life-size aircraft replicas which you can enter and explore. Boeing 747 viewing tours are also available with advance booking. At the Obsevatory Restaurant, you can enjoy a meal with a view of the southern end of Narita Airport's runway. Before leaving, don't forget to pick up a souvenir at the Museum Shop!
