Shimoda Underwater Aquarium is a circular aquarium that floats on the sea in a natural cove, where you can enjoy such sights as dolphin shows, sea lion shows, and feeding shows in a large tank that simulates the seas around Izu. The aquarium is located in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, about 40 km by car from the Tsukigase Interchange connecting the Izu-Chuo Road and Shuzenji Road. A bus route connects it with Izukyu-Shimoda Station.

【Ticket validity】 90 days from the date of purchase 【Notice of Museum Closure】 The Aquarium will be closed for four days from Tuesday, December 12, 2023 to Friday, December 15, 2023 for maintenance. 【Schedule】 Business Hours : March 1 - October 31 09:00 - 16:30 (except for the following periods) Summer vacation period: July 23 - August 21 08:30-17:30 November 1 - February 28 09:30 - 16:30 Year-end and New Year period: December 29 - January 3, 09:00 - 16:30 *Opening hours are subject to change depending on social conditions. *Last admission is generally 60 minutes before closing. *Tour time is 50-70 minutes. *People with disability identification cards are accepted at the counter. (Half of the general admission fee will be charged.) Also, one person with a disability will be charged the same admission fee as one accompanying person. **From reservation to entry, it's a simple 2-step process!** Step 1： After booking your ticket on Rakuten Travel Experience, an e-ticket will be sent to your registered e-mail address.
