• Please bring warm clothing, as the temperature can drop depending on the weather and season. • Clothes and shoes may get wet on this tour; please bring rainwear, towels, or clothes that you don't mind getting wet. • We provide waterproof bags to prevent cameras and mobile phones from getting wet. Hand luggage can be left at our reception desk. • We cannot be held responsible for any damage to your possessions due to water or other reasons. • Please note this tour is usually a mixed group with other participants. • You must be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the departure time. • Please follow your guide's instructions at all times. • For safety reasons, guests who are drunk or hungover, in poor health or heavily pregnant cannot participate. • We may have to cancel the tour in the event of adverse weather. In case of cancellation, we will contact you by phone on the morning of the tour date. Description
The destination of this tour is a cove situated inside the National Park Special Protection Zone that can only be reached by boat. This tour also provides an opportunity to see the rare Japanese serow, a miniature antelope that lives in the forests surrounding the lake.
Lake Towada, located on the border between Akita and Aomori Prefectures, is the caldera lake formed by eruptions of Towada Volcano. Due to the unfrozen lake during winter, it is also called the “Mystic Lake.” It is the source of the river of Oirase Gorge and is a beautiful lake showing various landscapes each season.
