Shizuoka is the No.1 tea producer and Makinohara is the largest tea plantation in Japan. If you are a tea lover, the two tea facilities in this tour (the World Tea Museum and Kadode Oigawa) are definitely worth to visit! Description
The tour starts at Kakegawa Station meeting up around 10:00 am. We will take JR Tokaido line for about 15 minutes and get off at Kanaya Station. From there, it will take about 5 minutes by taxi to visit the Tea Museum. Then, the second tea facility to visit is Kadode Oiwaga. It is an experience-based food park.
● Tea Museum You can enjoy learning everything about tea and experience an authentic tea ceremony surrounded by a beautiful Japanese garden. Lunch there is also nice. (Ex. tea bucweat noodles)
● Kadode Oigawa It is an experience-based food park. Some hands-on activities are available here including "Green Tea B.I.Y. Stand" and "Green Tea Tours".
