Description
"Tougei" – Pottery is one of the oldest technologies in the world and Japanese pottery history started more than 15,000 years ago. In Japan there are many different ways to decorate and bake ceramics.
Of course you need a lot of skills to be a professional, but you can make ceramics with some advice from a craftsman. In this activity you can make your own ceramics.
• Decide what kind of plate or cup you want to create. • Knead clay and shape up a model based on what you want to create. • Shape the clay up on a pottery's wheel . • Design patterns and lines on the clay.
The craftsman will then bake your ceramics in a kiln, but it takes more than 1 month so you cannot take it directly back home. The craftsman can send your ceramics to your home if you pay extra fee for shipping.
After work you can enjoy some drink and sweets.
So, why don’t you get your original gift while staying in Japan!?
