Have a unique kimono experience in a Meiji era (1868–1912) Kyomachiya (traditional wooden townhouse). For a fully immersive traditional experience, have a professional photographer capture you wearing a kimono in a Japanese garden.

- Children are eligible for the adult rate* *Children must be at least 100 cm (3 feet 3 inches) tall.

Booking
Description
Your exciting kimono experience will start at 10 am at our studio and it will last around 1 - 1.5 hour. After the photoshoot, you can stroll around in Kyoto in your kimono until 16:00 pm at the latest, at no extra charge.
Once you arrive at the studio, you will choose a kimono, an obi belt, and matching accessories for the day! Our professional staffs will help you get dressed nicely in the chosen kimono. For women, you can also get your hair done nicely to go with your kimono. There are many different kimonos and yukatas available and 8 different hairstyles (women only). Once you are all set, the photo shoot will start! Find your favorite kimono look!
This experience is held by Kyoto Kimono Rental Yumeyakata with over 15 years of experience. This is not an ordinary kimono experience as the Meiji era wooden teahouse becomes the studio, making your kimono experience truly authentic.
