Key Information

Description

Chiang Mai Paradise Bicycle Tour is a one-day cycling adventure through south-eastern Chiang Mai. It's available daily at 09:00. The route takes you over quiet country roads and through small villages, where farmers work the rice fields while their wives fill their days making terracotta. You'll cycle a little further then make a stop at an old temple. Here, village elders make flowers and garlands with paper and textiles, to be used during Thai weddings and Buddhist ceremonies. Your bicycle tour continues through the rice fields, before a quick stop at a farm where mushrooms are cultivated. In this area, you'll also get to see women from the local village making rice crackers, banana chips, soya bean paste, and many more Thai traditional products. And of course, you'll also get the opportunity to sample some of these local delicacies. At noon, you'll enjoy lunch at a typical local restaurant. While the chef is preparing your meal, you'll also get some time to stroll over to the next-door market and browse the various goods on sale. Your journey continues after lunch, following the Ping River and over country roads. Ever wondered what's in the pieces of bamboo sold by Thai street vendors on the roadside? Here, you’ll learn the answer as well as how many different variations there are. In this area, most of the farmers grow lettuce, cabbage, and other vegetables. After riding for a while, you'll arrive at a small restaurant beside the waters, where you can have a cup of local coffee or some herb juice. You'll visit a 700-year-old Chedi (a Buddhist stupa), and see how the two styles, Lopburi and Burmese, are combined. After a final stop at a local market, where you can sample some local fruits and snacks, you'll arrive back at our office at around 16:30, where the tour ends. During the tour, you'll get to take a break every hour for a short rest and drink. The stops and places of interest on the itinerary may vary depending on the seasonal activities available. This tour is suitable for any person in good physical condition and who can ride a bicycle. This unique excursion will leave you with an unforgettable experience and memories of your stay in Chiang Mai to last a lifetime.
