Key Information

Description

Tour of the "Three Views of Japan" — Amanohashidate! Amanohashidate in Miyazu Bay, Sea of Japan, is one of the "Three Views of Japan" along with Matsushima and Miyajima. Stretching about 3.6 kilometers, it's a sandbar with 8,000 pine trees and white sandy beaches, named the "Vertical Sky Bridge." Situated at the Aso Sea and Miyazu Bay intersection, it offers pure natural beauty and expansive island sea views. There is a mountain observatory where you can view Amanohashidate. There are sightseeing cars and recreational facilities suitable for all ages on the mountain. Amanohashidate, resembling a flying dragon, is known as "Flying Dragon View." (Cable car ticket: Amanohashidate Viewpoint Cable Car\ Monorail General Ticket 850 JPY) **Chionji Temple・Monjudo (temple for praying for education)** Chionji Temple houses Kirito Manjusri Bodhisattva, associated with wisdom and academic success. The temple's Tango Region Gate, the largest, has a fan-shaped signed poem symbolizing improvement when upside down. Adjacent is a unique engineering marvel: the Amanohashidate-Wenjudo swing bridge rotates 90 degrees for large ships occasionally (free tickets). **Take a walk or play by the sea** Amanohashidate Sandbar has white sandy beaches on both sides, fine and soft sand. The pine forest is enjoyable for admiring diverse trees. Amanohashidate Shrine, ideal for love prayers, features the ancient well "Iso-Shimizu," among Japan's top 100 famous waters. In summer, the beach is open with free admission, offering changing rooms, lifeguards, and coin-operated showers, while the densely striped pine trees create natural parasols. **Amanohashidate Hot Spring** The Amanohashidate Hot Spring, located near JR Amanohashidate Station, is reputed for its skin-beautifying natural spring water. Interested visitors can enjoy a bath (external foot bath is free, entrance fee is 700 JPY). **Ine Funaya: "The Venice of Japan" and "Kyoto's Last Secret"** Ine Village, among Japan's 18 most beautiful villages, features boat houses along Ine Bay's 5-kilometer coast. Over 230 boat houses face south, providing a unique experience of transparent seas, green mountains, changing skies, and traditional Japanese Funaya building colors, away from city hustle and bustle (about 1 hour, walk or ride or take a boat to feed the seagulls, please pay for the boat ride). **Boat trip** Experience a self-funded 25-minute cruise around Ine Bay, providing seagull bait. Enjoy the boat house view from the second-story deck (departures every hour and a half, ticket prices: 1,000 JPY for adults, 500 JPY for children, 100 JPY for seagull bait; in case of suspension, a free walk is offered). **Bike tour** Free bicycles are offered for convenient village exploration; ride and return at any rental point.
