Description

This tour is available every half hour from 08:00 to 10:00, late May to the end of October. Example schedule: 10:00 — Meet at JR Futatsui Station, then move with your guide to the Dakedai Nature Observation Woods. 11:30 — Take a guided hike through Dakedai. Enjoy the cinematic atmosphere that helped inspire the blockbuster anime Princess Mononoke. Stop for lunch along the way. 13:30 — Walk the Daira Trail — a so-called secret trail through “ten-nen Akita sugi” (natural Akita cedar). Cross the river in boots. 14:30 — Move to the cafe Mori-no-Eki (Forest Station). 15:00 — Take a break and enjoy tea time at the cafe. 15:30 — Return to JR Futatsui Station. 16:00 — Tour ends.
