Famed for its many towering peaks, Nagano boasts a myriad of natural treasures that make for breathtaking scenery. Stars twinkle overhead as you savor a delicious, luxury dinner heartily prepared by Norikura Star & Moon Restaurant. Relax as Norikura Star & Moon Restaurant’s servers welcome you with exceptional hospitality. First, you’ll be picked up from your hotel, then driven deep into nature to a glamping site. In the middle of Nagano’s lush nature stands a tent surrounded by priceless views of the Japanese Alps and the unpolluted, unobstructed night sky. All around you are verdant trees, and up above is the ethereal moon. Deep in the woods and away from the urban jungle, this glamping spot has no electricity, but your tent will be illuminated with lights powered by an eco-friendly electric vehicle. The surrounding nature and ambient lighting set the mood for all-out relaxation. With the unbeatable combination of luxurious comfort and the simple yet touching beauty of Nagano’s untamed nature, this fine dining experience offers a rejuvenating time. Soothe your senses as you take in the serenity of the area — so beautifully different from the city. Begin your evening with a sumptuous dinner, enjoyed inside the tent. You’ll be treated to fine dining prepared by local servers. Made using electric cookware and presented elegantly (for instance, in fancy-looking wooden boxes), all meals are made with no less than the finest and freshest local ingredients. Start off with delectable appetizers, sure to stimulate your appetite. Then, satiate your hunger with a hearty main course consisting of hot-pot dishes. Indulge in savory sukiyaki and delectable tomato shabu-shabu, complete with vegetables and tasty slices of Nagano’s homegrown Shinshu beef. Next, enjoy a filling serving of soba noodles, then finish up with dessert. Wash it all down with refreshing beverages. If you like, go for an alcoholic drink for an extra fee — a glass of wine, perhaps? After dinner, relax and unwind while gazing at the stars. Lie on the grass and admire the countless, twinkling lights dotting the vast night sky. You might even see the Milky Way — a sight you’d be hard-pressed to find in the city. If you’re lucky, you might also spot a shooting star — make a wish! On cloudy or rainy nights, you’ll stay inside the tent and admire stars displayed by a projector, much like enjoying your very own mini-planetarium show. Spend 40 minutes of this blissful calm in awe of the dazzling stars. End the tour just as comfortably, with an inclusive drive back to your hotel and a bottle of wine to take home. The following will be served: - Appetizers - Sukiyaki, a hot-pot dish served with premium Shinshu beef - Shabu-shabu (hot pot) - Soba (buckwheat noodles) - Dessert - Drinks (alcoholic beverages are available) Note: The menu varies for appetizers and dessert
