- We depart at 8:00. Please to be at the meeting point on time. - This group tour requires at least 8 participants. You will be informed at least 7 days in advance on tour status. - You will be exposed to 0.004 mSv on the tour, less than radiation exposure from a flight between Tokyo and New York City (approximately 0.1 mSv). - As conditions in Fukushima are constantly changing, the tour itinerary is subject to change. - The tour ending time may vary with weather, traffic etc. If you have plans after the tour, please tell us when you book. - This tour finishes at Iwaki station in Fukushima. If you want to back to Tokyo, you need to take train by yourself.

Description

We could operate the tour every day if we have at least 8 guests.  One of the most powerful earthquakes to strike Japan in recorded history occurred on March 11, 2011. The magnitude 9.0–9.1 Great East Japan Earthquake triggered a powerful tsunami which reached some 40.5 meters and traveled some 10 kilometers inland. At present, there are more than 15,000 confirmed deaths with over 2,500 still missing. The tsunami also led to a meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. On this tour, we will visit the Fukushima coastal area o greatly affected by this disaster. We hope this tour will provide greater insight into the disaster and Fukushima. This tour finishes at Iwaki station in Fukushima. If you would like to back to Tokyo, you can take express train "Hitachi" and arrive at Tokyo station until 9:00pm.
