Description

Take a relaxing journey to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, one of Taiwan's beloved, most famous nature reserves! Surrounded by mountains and covered with dense, lush forests, this area in Chiayi County is known for its Five Wonders: its gorgeous sunrise views, the "Sea of Clouds" that blankets the mountains early in the morning, the Alishan Forest Railway that runs through the woods, its forests, and its colorful and dramatic sunsets. Be sure not to miss Alishan's Five Wonders when you visit, and enjoy the scenic wonders that change with the seasons: cherry blossoms and other beautiful blooms in spring; the healing sight of greenery, which makes Alishan ideal for a summer getaway; maple leaves in autumn; and the "sea of clouds" phenomenon, which is more commonly seen in winter! To make your Alishan trip more convenient, book this handy package to save yourself the trouble of purchasing on-site. This package includes admission to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, round-trip Alishan Electric Bus tickets, and a delicious boxed lunch courtesy of the long-standing restaurant, Grandma Yahu’s Railway Lunchbox. Travel around the park conveniently with the eco-friendly Alishan Electric Bus, which is in line with Alishan's commitment to become a low-carbon sustainable homeland. The bus has two lines: the Zhaoping Line (Blue Line) and the Xianglin Line (Red Line), both of which stop at the park's major attractions and have boarding areas at Terminal and Visitor Center Station. The Blue Line stops at Zhaoping Station, from where you can walk to the Sister Ponds — in spring, you can even enjoy the lovely sight of cherry-blossom trees along the way. Meanwhile, the Red Line stops at Xianglin Station, next to Shouzhen Temple. From this stop, you can walk to attractions such as the Giant Tree Plank Trails. In between your Alishan excursion, don't forget to pick up your lunchboxes at Grandma Yahu’s Railway Lunchbox! This restaurant's boxed lunches have been beloved among locals and tourists alike for around 60 years now. You have three variants to choose from: pork chop rice, chicken leg rice, and stewed pork rice — all of which offer a taste of Taiwanese cuisine, are generously portioned, and are made hot and fresh on the spot. Book now to get the basics you'll need for your Alishan getaway covered!
