• Although the Alishan Forest Recreation Area is scheduled to open 24 hours, 365 days a year, exceptions may occur at the direction of Chiayi County Government or other management units; please confirm on the official website before departure • This is an adult ticket for ages 13 and above; for other ticket types please purchase from the ticket counter at the park entrance • Children aged 0–2, and people holding a Disability Card with up to one accompanying person, may enter free of charge • Parking in the Recreation Area is charged at 100 TWD for small vehicles, 20 TWD for motorcycles Grandma Yahu’s Railway Lunchbox • Pictures are for illustration purposes only; actual lunchbox contents may vary • In case of bad weather in the mountains, the restaurant may close; please call in advance if you wish to confirm (05-256-1097)

Alishan National Forest Recreation Area is famous for its sunrise and sunset, its sea of clouds, its woodlands, and the forest railway. These are known as the Five Wonders of Alishan, and are famous both at home and abroad. Supplementing the splendid scenery of Alishan, Grandma Yahu’s Railway Lunchbox is a local delicacy with six decades of history. One of the region’s famous foods, a railway lunchbox from Fenqihu is a must-try as part of your visit to Alishan. What was born as a convenient meal for rail passengers on their way from Chiayi into the mountains, is now a reason all by itself to visit Fenqihu! One of Taiwan’s must-see natural attractions, the Alishan National Scenic Area has something to offer in every season, and is renowned among adventure-seeking and nature-loving travelers from around the world.
