Your day is off to an early start, as you meet your guide at the Big Apple. From there, you'll head south, passing through the states of New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland before arriving at the nation’s capital. Once you reach D.C., you'll learn about American history and the long, rich significance of this city: from the colonial era, all the way through the birth of the USA, and up until the present day. Your first stop will be a visit to the world-famous Arlington National Cemetery, a historically significant resting place that's home to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Kennedy family's gravesite. Next, you're off to the National Mall, where many of D.C.'s best-known attractions are concentrated. Visit the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials, along with the Lincoln Memorial and the Martin Luther King commemorative plaque. Then, stop for photo opportunities in front of the White House, and visit the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum for a fun, interactive way to learn all about aviation and aerospace: from the Space Race's Gemini and Apollo programs, to the historic moment of landing on the moon, which made the museum's Moon Rock exhibit possible!
