On this private tour, you will see the top attractions in the Mt. Fuji area and Hakone. Driven by a professional tour guide-driver, explore the area at your own pace. Your guide-driver will play triple roles, as a driver, as a tour guide, and as a photographer. Your guide-driver will pick you up at the hotel within central Tokyo (or from Yokohama Osambashi for cruise passengers) and drop you off at the same place. Firstly, drive to Saiko Iyashi no Sato Village where some public institution preserves old houses and the atmosphere to display them for visitors. In these houses, they offer dressing experiences or trade in traditional folk crafts. Then drive up to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji, the highest point that vehicles can reach (until the middle of April we are more likely to stop at the second station because of heavy snow). Afterward, visit Oshino Hakkai, nestled between Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. The water from the eight ponds here comes directly from Mt. Fuji. As it's filtered down the mountain and through various layers of lava, the water is safe to drink. After enjoying the Mt. Fuji area, you will then visit Hakone. Your first stop at Hakone is Owakudani Death Valley, you can see volcanic activity up close. Try the famous black boiled eggs, which are said to extend your life. Finally, cruise along the waters of Lake Ashi and see the giant red torii gate at Hakone Shrine. From there, you can also admire the splendid view and impeccable scenery. ★ The tour is customizable. If you would like to go shopping at Gotemba Outlet Mall, it's possible to rearrange the schedule so that you can take 3–4 hours there without any additional charges. ★ In case you are supposed to stay at Hakone Hot Spa, it's possible to drop you off there.
