The 238-meter tall Mori Tower stands in the middle of the upscale Roppongi Hills commercial complex and is one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. While most of the building is occupied by office space, the first few floors offer visitors a wide variety of restaurants and shops, while the top few floors house an observation deck and a contemporary art museum featuring world-class exhibitions that change periodically. Located at the top of the Mori Tower, the Tokyo City View observation deck sports high ceiling and glass walls that extend all the way around the building, providing fantastic views of the entire city. This is a perfect place to take in the massiveness of the Tokyo metropolis. Gleaming in the distance, you can see Shinjuku, Tokyo Tower, Odaiba, Shinagawa, the Rainbow Bridge, and many other Tokyo landmarks. This beautiful canvas changes color at night time, creating a unique landscape when the city lights come to life. Above the observation deck lies the Sky Deck, an open-air rooftop deck that can be enjoyed when the weather is good. You can drop by one of the cafes in the building and soak in the view while enjoying your favorite drink. All tickets for Tokyo City View include access to the Mori Art Museum, a modern art museum open until late at night. The Museum features mainly modern art exhibitions in a variety of genres, including fashion, architecture, design, photography, and video. Besides the main exhibitions, you can also see exhibits from: • The MAM Collection The collection of the Mori Art Museum focused on contemporary art from Japan and across Asia currently consists of around 400 works. The MAM Collection is a diverse series of thematic exhibitions to showcase this collection. • MAM Screen The amount of video installations utilizing multiple media has continued to grow since the birth of video art in the 1960s. The MAM Screen program meanwhile, highlights single-channel video works from around the world. These works are screened daily for the duration of the relevant exhibition, allowing visitors to view the works in a concentrated fashion at their own leisure. • MAM Research Asian and Japanese contemporary art is one of the Mori Art Museum’s main focuses. However, ‘Asia’ covers a wide territory, making it challenging to form an overall picture of it. The MAM Research series focuses on individual artists, curators, art institutions and movements throughout Asia. By doing this, the series seeks to explore the multi-layered social, political, and economic backgrounds that gave rise to Asian contemporary art, and to shed light on their historical contexts. The series is not limited to ‘artworks’, also presenting materials including photographs, videos, texts, and historical records. • MAM Project The MAM Project is a series of experimental programs by the Mori Art Museum, produced in collaboration with artists from around the world. And while you're at Mori Tower, you might want to also see the special exhibitions at Mori Arts Center Gallery! The rotating exhibitions on the 52nd floor are always worth checking out (additional fee depending on exhibition). **About VIP Tickets** • Only available from Rakuten Travel Experiences! • Skip the line and get instant access to the facilities - Access to 52nd-floor observation deck 'Tokyo City View' - Get free and preferential access to several exhibitions at Tokyo City View - Includes access to the rooftop Sky Deck (usual cost: 500 JPY) - Access to 53rd-floor Mori Art Museum (some exhibitions may require an additional fee) - The 52nd-floor Mori Arts Center Gallery requires additional payment depending on the exhibit
