- Venues for flower viewing will be changed according to flower blossom calendar as below: December to March/ Herb Garden, April to May/ Motosuko Lake Shibazakura Festival or Kawaguchiko Lake Northern Bank Park, June to October/ Herb Garden, November/ Kawaguchiko Lake Northern Bank Park - Fruit-picking season: Strawberries until mid May, cherries until late June, peaches until early August, and grapes until late November - Please note that the tour’s schedule is subject to change due to traffic conditions - In the event that Mt Fuji cannot be seen due to bad weather, the tour will proceed as scheduled and no refunds will be issued - If the Subaru Line is closed due to weather conditions, the destination will be changed to Oshino Hakkai Village and the lunch venue will be changed to near Kawaguchiko Lake - In case there are less than Eight participants before departure, this tour will be canceled. The sight of the majestic Mt Fuji — from its snow-capped peak to its iconic sweeping shape — is a sight that everyone must see for themselves. But what makes it even more breathtaking is when a carpet of flowers cover its feet for as far as the eye can see. Join this tour of some of the most stunning views of Mt Fuji along with seasonal flowers! Meet your guide at Shinjuku Station and hop onto the bus to begin your tour. Your first stop will be Herb Garden for seasonal flower viewing. Over 200 species of herbs can be appreciated during their blossom in different seasons, such as azalea in spring (shibazakura during shibazakura festival by Motosuko Lake), lavender in early summer, red leaves in autumn and herbs planted in greenhouse during winter. Especially in spring, shibazakura spreads into a huge pink carpet and becomes extraordinarily stunning under the sunshine. The lovely flower scene has attracted great amount of visitors to come, and will leave you in awe. Take your time and stroll through the fields of pink, purple and white flowers, soaking in the spectacular views so close to the magnificant Mt. Fuji. Your second stop will be Yamanashi Fruit Garden. Known for its delicious, high-quality fruits, depending on the season, you can enjoy picking fresh strawberries, peaches, grapes, or cherries. For 30 minutes, pick and eat as many fresh fruits as you want! Sit back in your seat as the bus drives you up the scenic Subaru Line to Mt Fuji’s 5th station — the last stop for those wishing to climb the mountain to stock up for their trek. Take in the panoramic views before indulging in a delicious lunch of Yamanashi prefecture’s specialty dish of ‘hoto’ — extra thick noodles and pumpkins cooked in a hearty, miso-based broth. With your stomach satisfied, you can then enjoy the famous Kachi Kachi Ropeway with its cute cartoon animals! Taking you 400 meters up to an observation deck at the top of Mt Tenjo, here you can catch some of the best panoramic views of Lake Kawaguchiko, Mt Fuji, and the surrounding forests that change their colors with the season.
