AN is a place where you can enjoy Japanese culture. It is located in Ainomachi, Kyoto-Gojo, near Kiyomizu Temple, Gion area and so on and is easy to access from Kyoto Station. In our Matcha experience, you can enjoy preparing "Matcha" and tasting tea and "Nerikiri" (making Japanese raw seasonal sweets ). You can also watch "Hikicha" (grinding tea leaves). You can casually experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Please step into the Matcha world and enjoy the Japanese culture with us! Below are the details of this activity: Step 1:Make Japanese traditional sweets, "Nerikiri", using sweet beans paste which is unique to Japan. Step 2: Watching to grind tea leaves using a stone mill to make Matcha. Step 3: Experience a tea ceremony, making Matcha with a tea whisk and tasting it by yourself.
