Planning your first trip to Taipei? Book this half-day tour to visit all the city's must-see landmarks, including Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Martyrs' Shine, National Palace Museum, Presidential Office Building and the Grand Hotel Taipei!
Visit Taipei's top attractions from the comfort and convenience of a bus on this four-hour sightseeing tour! The tour begins in the morning after meeting your guide and driver at Exit 2 of Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station on the Taipei Metro. The first stop is Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, an impressive monument in memory of President Chiang Kai-shek. Surrounded by white walls with blue-tiled roof, the park contains an archway, a museum, a square, and a garden. After that, the bus will head to the Grand Hotel Taipei, a five-star hotel that's another of Taipei's historical landmarks, for some photo opportunities. Built in the 1950s to cater to foreign diplomats and host state banquets, it boasts a vast collection of art and opulent decor: ornate wall panels and carvings, paintings, and more. On the way to the Grand Hotel, you'll pass by the Presidential Office Building, an impressive Neo-Renaissance building constructed in the 1910s. With a long history and an iconic facade, this is also a symbolic landmark of Taipei City. After the Grand Hotel Taipei, the next stop is Martyrs’ Shrine. The shrine was built in the 1960s to honor fallen soldiers in civil wars and armed conflicts. Here, a Changing of the Guard ceremony is performed hourly, from 09:00 to 17:00 each day. Next, you'll tour one of the world's most-visited museums: the National Palace Museum. This museum houses nearly 700,000 pieces of ancient Chinese art spanning multiple dynasties. Besides the permanent exhibits, there's also a regularly rotating array of temporary exhibits. Finally, the tour will end with drop-off at either MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station or the Ximending shopping district.
