For some relaxation out on the water (and some adventures on land, too, if you like), charter the luxury sailboat Daybreak for two days and a night! Enjoy a hearty seafood lunch on day 1, explore the Tai Long Wan area, pass by islands that are part of Hong Kong Global Geopark, and sleep in a comfortable cabin — or camp out on the beach.
For a sailing adventure on Hong Kong's waters, book this overnight eco-tour aboard Daybreak, a 56-foot, fully equipped luxury sailboat that can be chartered for a variety of purposes and occasions: day sailing, harbor and beach cruising, corporate team-building sessions, parties, a romantic dinner cruise, or even overnight excursions. This two-day, one-night charter of Daybreak will take you around Hong Kong’s protected Global Geopark. You'll spend the night on the luxury sailboat; alternatively, you can also camp at the pristine sandy white beaches of Tai Long Wan. You'll start from Pak Sha Wan (also known as Hebe Haven), a pier near Hebe Haven Yacht Club that's easily accessible via public transportation or taxi You'll then sail to and around Port Shelter, a hilly, cliff-ringed haven in Sai Kung, where sailboat racing often takes place on weekends. Passing by Jin Island, you'll then head to a family-owned restaurant on High Island, where you'll enjoy a fresh, hearty seafood lunch that consists of five to seven courses — plus a bottle of wine. After lunch, you'll make your way toward Tai Long Wan, where your group will spend the night. En route, you'll pass several islands that are part of the protected Hong Kong Global Geopark or considered Hong Kong Sites of Special Scientific Interest. As you go around the corner of Basalt Island, you'll be in the open ocean, spanning the South China Sea to the east. A few hours after encircling the Global Geopark and open waters, you'll arrive and anchor at Tai Long Wan, which boasts two pristine sandy white beaches and is surrounded on three sides by mountains and cliffs. Here, you can go for a swim, just lie back and relax on the beach, or do some light hiking. Then, for dinner, enjoy a family-style dinner aboard Daybreak, have a cookout or barbecue on board, or go to a beach restaurant that's a short hike away (additional charges apply for all options). Just let us know which option you prefer, and we'll make the arrangements for you! Once you're ready to call it a day, you can sleep on the boat or camp out on the beach — we can provide tents and sleeping bags (additional charges apply). If you choose to sleep on the boat, you're sure to have a good night's sleep, as Daybreak is equipped with plenty of convenient amenities. It has two double cabins that can comfortably sleep four to six people, two bathrooms complete with hot showers, and additional amenities including but not limited to the following: • Air conditioning • Microwave • Stove/oven • Swim platform and ladder for easy boarding • Non-slip teak decks • Sun cover for protection from sun and rain • 40-inch TV with DVD and streaming services when available • Stereo with Bluetooth and USB connections • Pool noodles and other flotation devices • Cockpit cushions and pillows • Hammocks • Rigid inflatable boat (RIB) with outboard engine for exploring the shore If you're feeling adventurous, start the second day with a challenging hike up Sharp Peak at dawn. Or, if you'd rather just unwind, have a leisurely continental breakfast on-board, and enjoy some time on the beach. The itinerary for the rest of the day will be up to you. Depending on your preferences, you can spend the morning and early afternoon sailing in the waters of Mirs Bay to the North, or Daybreak can just stay put where you are, so that you can lounge and take in the scenery. You'll have a sandwich lunch on-board or at a beach restaurant before heading back to Port Shelter for drop-off at around 17:00. During your sailing adventure, you can be as hands-on or hands-off as you like. If you want to learn to navigate a ship, your crew will be more than happy to show you the ropes. But if you simply want to sit back and relax, you're more than welcome to do so!
