Founded in 1925, Kizakura Fushimigura is a relatively new addition to the long-thriving sake production industry in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto. A focus on high-quality sake and craft beer, coupled with effective marketing campaigns centered on TV commercials, quickly made the Kizakura brand a household name in Japan. The massive, modern Kizakura Fushimigura brewery stands out among the older traditional buildings belonging to the Edo period sake breweries and delivers a feeling of luxury in the relatively quiet Fushimi district. Meet your guide at Chushojima Station to begin your tour of Kizakura Fushimigura. Here, you will learn how high-quality sake and distinctive craft beers are produced. After the brewery tour, you'll visit a charming restaurant to taste premium sake and savor a Brewer's Obanzai Set that comprises of nine various dishes. Finally, you will take a guided tour of the Fushimi Sake District. Here, you will see the impressive traditional buildings of this old sake brewery town. In this area, you'll find several temples, historical buildings, and scenic tree-lined canals. After the tour, you may also choose to visit the Fushimi Otesuji Shopping Street or a sake souvenir shop.
